New Years Day Sleeper

Spent New Year’s Eve with myself this year and erasermating…. however the new year calls for a new page (particularly as the last one was beginning to fall apart and ripple under the strain… so here is page one of the new year dreamer…. he has since morphed into a bad aproximation of one of my dad’s litho’s from the probably the 50′s…. but that was after midnight so it don’t count in the court of the crimson king.

I have lunch with my ex at some corporate campus out in the country. Later I walk up the road to go visit some of the kitchen staff in their cottage, when I am surrounded by soldiers. The opposition appears out in the fields and the two armies begin shooting some strange artillery at each other. The shells land around us. They look like pewter eggs about the size of bacci balls and they are on a timer. The soldiers pick them up and throw them off into the woods. The opposing troops use a large sheet to tramboline the explsosives back to our lines. We hit the ground and the troops drape me in an orange reinforced blanket to resist the blasts. A shell falls next to my face I quickly move to throw it into the woods, but it lands on a soldiers leg, instead. He quckly pushes it away before the explsion and gives me a furious and pitying look.
