The Gaurd Cog

Been working like mad on this little guard cog for a friend. You can visit it in Williamsburg Brooklyn (North Seventh towards the water), where it will be chained to insure your safety… It nearly burst it’s cage today… as you can see above. I’m not certain the name of the beast, but maybe Tristan und Isolde works, or Siegfried und Roy…. up to the owners now….still, I’m curious about what you’d name such a thing? So send ideas. This is the exterior cousin of this cog. I may make more?

If it’s a male COGENT…or maybe the obvious DAT.
Keep them coming!

I do love the guard cogs! Do they have soundtracks?

Alex, have you seen the Alex Katz show at Pace Wildenstein? There’s a series of his cutout portraits called “One Flight Up” that reminds me of this: you see the people from the front & then behind.

I just saw that Friday. I’m not the world’s hugest Katz fan, but I did sort of like the tin heads.
