Recent piece by Margaret Atwood in the New York Review of Books. Posting this mostly because it's a lovely read. One question it raises though is whether the Twitterverse that Atwood describes is more a broadcast medium than a mechanism for many-to-many communication?

I like to think of twitter as a piece of internet syntax - maybe even punctuation? It's a useful marker but it's barely a blip compared to the time spent in the hovering nounish thingness of my eternally open gmail or in the erratic, spastic jumping from article to article.
